When you want to add a new product type, this is where to do that.
Navigation - How to get there
The Product Types page lists all of your current product types. When you are in the Designer, you will see your product Names when adding or editing a product on the wall, or using your filters.
1. Editing Current Product Types
Clicking on "Edit" will take you to the manage product type screen for the given product type.
When editing an existing Product Type, you may only modify its name, description and color. If it is a frame you may also change its frame size / color and mat size / color.
Note: If you change any of these settings it will not update your existing templates. You will need to review them accordingly.
You may also delete the product type on this screen.
Note: Please be aware that you will delete all of your products, suggestions and templates that use this product type.
2. Add Product Type
Clicking on "Add Product Type" will take you to the add product type screen.
2.1 Product Type
- Wrapped Product - this is most likely a canvas and has a wrap; either a solid color wrap or the image is wrapped around the product
- Framed Product - this product type will require you to specify the color for the frame and the mat, as well as the size for the frame and the mat
- Non-Wrapped Product - this is essentially everything else. Think of a Metal or Acrylic product. The image does not wrap around it, nor does it have a frame or a mat
2.2 Measurement System
This will be initially populated with the default measurement system from your Studio Preferences. You may change it at creation time. You can choose Imperial (inches) or Metric (centimeters).
2.3 Initial Products and Templates
To accelerate your setup process, Swift Galleries will automatically create some common products for you as well as some initial templates. We list out this information here for you. (Side note: as you make changes to these initial sizes by editing the sizes or deleting these products, you will also lose access to the templates that were automatically created with the now-gone size products.)
Once you save a new product type, you'll be taken to the Manage Products page for this product type.
