1. Switch to a Different Product Type
If you'd like to switch to a different product type, click on the type. You may also start the process of adding a product type by clicking on "Add Type". Read more here about how to manage product types.
2. Width and Height
This is extremely important to set correctly! This is the width and height of the visible image within the product.
For example, a canvas that has a 2 inch wrap is still 20x30, even though with the wrap it's actually 24x34 that needs to be printed.
Additionally, for a frame this is the size of the image within the frame and does not include the frame size / mat size.
3. Single Edge Wrap / Bleed
This is another extremely important setting. Most labs do a small amount of bleed to ensure the image completely covers the product. Please be aware that this is a single edge measurement only!
Some labs will state a 1/2 inch bleed, but they mean there is a 1/4 inch bleed on each side; in this case, Swift Galleries would need to be configured to 1/4 inch. Other labs will say a 1/2 inch bleed and mean that there is a 1/2 inch bleed on one side; in this case Swift Galleries would need to be configured to 1/4 inch.
With canvases and other products that have a wrapped image, you need to be sure this is the correct amount of total wrap. For instance, a 1.5-inch depth canvas from a lab has a 2-inch wrap. The amount you put in this column is for the wrap amount, not the depth of the product.
Please check with your lab to ensure you have the correct setting!
Everyone wants to get paid! Make sure that you set your costs appropriately to ensure you're getting fairly compensated for your work - don't forget to add your costs for any additional options you include with your products (backing, acrylic on a frame, rounded edges, etc.) that add to your costs. The Retail Price is the amount your client will pay and is the amount you and your client will see in the Designer and checkout/cart system.
Within the Swift Galleries Designer you have the ability to add a new product to the wall. This is the product (size) that will be added when you choose to add this product type.
